Fraser-Pryce, Mboma, Nowicki and Wlodarczyk to battle for Kipkeino classic titles

Three-time Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Olympic Games 200m silver medalist Christine Mboma have set their goals of winning in their respective races at tomorrow’s Kipkeno Classic, the World Athletics Continental Gold Tour at the Kasarani stadium.

Making her debut in Kenya, the Jamaican sprinter said she was impressed to compete in kenya and meeting her fans.

“I went to the warmup area yesterday and saw this sign on your stadium…the Home of Heroes. I thought that was wonderful,” she said.

But 8-year-old Mboma announced herself on the world stage with a silver medal. 

The two are expected to clash in the women’s 200m.

Mboma will be returning to Kasarani for the third time after winning the World Under-20 200m title in and the second edition of the Kip Keino Classic.

“When I compete, I run my own race. I focus on myself so I won’t let fame get into my head. I will keep doing what I love doing on the track,” Mboma said. 

Others that will compete tomorrow include Olympic hammer throw champion Wojciech Nowicki Olympic Games hammer throw champion, Anita Wlodarczyk.
