Champions Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) and General Service Unit (GSU) started their title defence on a high note following their wins as Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) play-offs served off today at the Kasarani Indoor Arena.
Coached by Paul Gitau, KPA defeated the Daniel Bor side Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) 3-1(25-16, 25-22, 25-27, 25-17) in an entertaining opening fixtures.
In other women matches, former Africa Champions KCB beat Kenya Prisons 3-2 (25-18, 22-25, 25-10, 26-24 and 15-12.)
GSU started with a fiver setter thriller beating Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) 3-2 25-21, 25-22, 22-25, 23-25, 15-11) while former champions Kenya Prison were 3-1 (25-18, 25-21, 21-25, 25-18) winners over Kenya Ports Authority (KPA).
