Gor bite Sharks as Chemelil sip Tusker

Kenya Premier league (KPL) champions Gor Mahia set a good revenge against Sportpesa Shield Champions Kariobangi Sharks in today’s KPL match at Moi stadium Kisumu as Chemelil edged out visiting Tusker at Chemelil Sports Complex.

Fresh from qualifying into CAF Conbfederation Cup quarterfinals, Gor defeated Sharks 2-1 to revenge in the 1-0 win in the reverse fixture in December that was scored by Duke Abuya.

The champions rallied from a goal down as the win propelled them to the top of the table. Erick Kapaito scored first for the Sharks in the 21st minute  that was cancelled out by Lawrence Juma and super player Francis Kahata scoring the winner on 45th minute.

The Hassan Oktay charges will be facing off with Bandari on Wednesday next week before playing RS berkane of Morocco in continental cup.

It was a reprieve for Chemelil after edging former champions Tusker in their home ground 2-1 with winners coming from a goal down to beat the visiting side.

Boniface Muchiri was the first on target for brewers with just 13 minutes into the match but Lucas Waitere leveled in the 31st minute and Musa Oundo sealing the victory for home side.
