At Machakos stadium, Bolton Omwenga scored a brace in a goal marathon thriller with KCB against champions Gor Mahia.
Martin Nderitu struck the lead for the bankers in the 24th minute before Omwenga netted the second three minutes later before scoring a brace in the 35th minute for 0-3 lead.
Leading by example, Gor captain Harun Shakava reduced the lead after heading in Samuel Onyango’s corner.
After providing the goal, Onyango scored the second for Gor with 2-3 before Francis Mustafa salvaged a point for the champions cement their in the 77th minute.
In Mbaraki stadium, Yema Mwana scored the lone goal in the 83rd minute as hosts Bandari edged out former champions Ulinzi Stars.
