Kenya Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia will be facing off with Aigle Noir at the preliminary round of Confederation of Africa Football Champions League.
The Kenyan champions will be up against Burundian side as they seek to feature into group stages of the prestigious club championships on the continent.
Gor missed to play in group stages after falling to 2-0 to Nigeria’s Lobi Stars in Enugu following a 3-1 win in Nairobi.
Lobi Stars benefitted from the 2-0 win at home and an away goal advantage after Hassan Oktay led side beat Malawi side Nyasa Bullets to book Stars date.
Oktay’s charges will begin their Champions League journey against Aigle Noir CS who bagged the 2018/19 Burundi Premier League title with 68 points from 30 matches. The aggregate winner of the first round will meet either USM Algers of Algeria or Niger’s SONIDEP in the second round.
