National soccer women team Harambee Starlets came from a goal down to draw against Zambia’s Shepolopolo at Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani on Friday 8th.
The David Ouma led side played at home to a two-all draw against Shepolopolo in the 4th and penultimate of Olympic Games qualifiers.
Grace Chanda gave the visitors the lead before Mweembe Lushomo scored in her own goal to level for the Starlets.
Kenya then went ahead through Vivian Odhiambo for a 2-1 lead but the celebrations were short-lived as Rachel Kondananji equalized from the start for a 2-2 draw at the final whistle.
Zambia will be hosting Starlets on Tuesday in Lusaka Zambia and the winner on aggregate will play at the final qualifying round, where they play either of Ivory Coast or Cameroon with the winner will represent the continent at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Losers on aggregate at the final will get a lifeline in a playoff against Chile, who came second in the South American Confederation’s (CONMEBOL) qualifying tournament
