Kenya National soccer women team Harambee Starlets played to a one all draw in a friendly match against Ghana’s Black Queens at Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani today.
The visiting Black Queens came from a goal down to force a 1-1 draw in thr international friendly match as the two teams prepare for Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) set for Ghana from 14th November.
Mercy Achieng scored first for Kenyan team with just 15 minutes to give hosts a 1-0 lead when she tapped in a low cross by Mwanahalima Adam on a counter-attack.
Attracting cheers from the fans the Starlets went into break shoulder high with a 1-0 lead.
But Ghana gave pressuer to their hosts as they rallied its troops to level through Linda Eshun with her low shot beating Annette Kundu who plays for Eldoret Falcons.
