Harambee Starlets shoot 4-0 past Uganda at CECAFA Women Senior Challenge

Harambee Starlets, the national women soccer team continued with their superlative performance winning two out of team matches at the ongoing CECAFA Aenior Women Championships at the Azam Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

After beating Burundi 3-0 in the opening fixtures on Sunday, the Beldine Odemba coached side thrashed champions Uganda 4-0 in their second match today.

It was a shocker for Uganda, who had thrashed South Sudan 5-0 in the opening fixtures on Sunday.

Diana Wacera fired home first to give Kenya a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute before Dorcas Shikobe doubled the score in the 27th minute for 2-0 before Violet Nanjala made it 3-0 in the 29th minute for a 3-0 lead into break.

On return, Martha Amunyolet scored in the 80th minute to seal Starlets 4-0 win in the Migingo derby.

Kenya will face South Sudan in their third match on Thursday before playing hosts Tanzania on Saturday June 21st.
