Harambee Starlets, the national football women team has successfully landed in morocco ahead of the 2026 Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) set to kick off on Sunday July 26th.
The team, which has been training in France landed in Morocco ahead of the opening ceremony as they seek to showcase their talents.
Placed in pool A’s group of death alongside hosts Morocco, Senegal and Algeria, the Beldine Odemba coached side will begin their title chase against Morocco on Sunday 26th then followed by Senegal on Thursday July 30th then complete pool matches against Algeria on Monday August 30th.
Among those dependable players in striking force include Violet Nanjala Wanyonyi who plays for Hibernians FC, Valarie Nekesa, Marion Serenge, Shirleen Opisa, and Eglay Mukhwana
