Harambee Stars drop in FIFA Ranking

Harambee Stars has dropped in FIFA Rankings ahead of 2021 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers that will be staged in Cameroon.

The national soccer team dropped one place down from 107 to 108th according to Fifa world football rankings released on Thursday.

Their home defeat against Mozambique two weeks ago in an international friendly might have coast the Francis Kimanzi led team.

But it is Kimanzi that propelled the team to be in top 100 when it ranked number 68 in the world ten years ago.

Kenya, which is in pool G will be facing off with Egypt in the 2021 Afcon qualifier in Cairo on November 11, before hosting Togo.

At the world ranking, Belgium leads, beating world cup winners France to second as Brazil seal the podium ahead of England and Uruguay.
