Harambee Stars, the national soccer team will begin their 2020 Africa Nations Championships (CHAN) against Burundi.
Kenya will be seeking to compete at the continental championships for the first time, with the championships set to be hosted in Ethiopia after missing to host the 2018 with lack of facilities in the country.
The duo were paired, making it a double paring in the qualification process after they clashed in the 2014 qualifiers where Burundi won 1-0 on aggregate after winning the first leg and forcing a 0-0 draw in the return tie in Nairobi.
As they seek their maiden appearance at the championships, Kenya missed out after losing 2-0 on aggregate to Ethiopia, losing the first leg away in Bahir Dar before drawing 0-0 in the return tie in a match that saw Kenya miss three penalties in both home and away legs in 2016.
The winner of the first round will then face the winner between Tanzania and Sudan with the winner joining hosts Ethiopia for the competition next year.
