Harlequins, Blad, Leos win as top teams give walk overs at Enterprise Cup

Many teams boycotted today’s round 16 of the Enterprise Cup, the rugby 15s tournament played across the country as bigwigs dominate.

Out of the eight matches on the fixtures today, only three were played as others handed walk overs.

Former champions Kenya Harlequins, Kenyatta University’s Blak Blad and Strathmore Leos won in their respective fixtures against  Catholic Monks and Zetech Oaks.

Quins recorded a 29-05 victory against Monks and Blad beat Mwamba 28-0 before Leos won 32-17 over Oaks.

In kakamega, defending champions Kabras Sugar were among the beneficiaries of walkovers, advancing with a 28-0 result against Impala RFC. Menengai Oilers, Nakuru RFC, Nondescripts RFC and KCB Rugby also moved into the last eight following 28-0 walkovers against MMUST, South Coast Pirates, Kisumu RFC and Daystar University respectively.

Attention shifts to the last eight where Kenya Cup heavyweights Kabras Sugar, KCB Rugby and Menengai Oilers remain firmly in the hunt as the Enterprise Cup edges closer to its decisive stages.
