Hinga takes the lead at Chess Kenya Olympiad qualifiers

Githinji Hinga and Albright Nicole have topped the ongoing National Chess Championships ahead of World Chess Olympiad Championships to be held in Mosco, Russia.

Hinga, who is the former Chess Kenya President has joined other top players in the third in final phase of qualification for the world event set for July 26th to August 8th.

At the third phase, only five players in each category will qualify for the championships and Hinga has taken a five point lead from seven rounds only losing to Ben Nguku but he defeated james Kabui, Milton Kihara, Isaac Mukoko, lenny Mataiga and Martin Njoroge.
