Kakamega Homeboyz paused Kenya Police in winning their first Kenya Premier League title with a win at the Mumias Sports Complex.
The runaway league leaders Police lost 2-1 away with Moses Shumah scoring first for the winners eight minutes into the match but Mohammed Bajaber leveling in the 14th minute but Glen Otunga scored the winning goal in the 47th minute.
Another title chaser Tusker lost 2-0 to FC Talanta giving third-placed Gor Mahia who will play Nairobi City Stars tomorrow.
A win for K’Ogalo would lift them to 56 points, just two shy of Police, with a game in hand, placing them firmly in the title conversation.
In Kisii, Shabana edged out Bidco United 2-1 as Posta Rangers was held to 1-1 against Ulinzi Stars with AFC Leopards beating Mathare United 3-1.
Murang’a Seal won 2-0 against Sofapaka with Mara Sugar’s 0-0 over Bandari
