I will present a formidable team, says Kipsang when Chepteek, Victor Kibet triumphed in Bungoma cross country

Bungoma County Athletics Kenya chairman Patrick Kipsang is optimistic that his athletes will compete for the national cross country titles set for next month in Eldoret.

Speaking after holding the county cross country championships at the Kapsokwony High school in Mt Elgon, Kipsang was full of praise for his athletes especially those in the senior categories like Sarah Chepteek and Victor Kibet.

The duo triumphed in their respective events, which he says is a replica of what will happen at the Eldoret Sports Ground in three weeks time.

“These athletes are great. I have personally followed their training and performance, which is amazing come the national championships,” said Kipsang.

Chepteek won the women’s title in a race that attracted only four athletes in an area well known for producing top athletes of all times.
