Eldoret City marathon race director Moses Tanuio has apologized to athletes after, for the second time postponing The Eldoret City marathon.
Speaking in Eldoret while addressing press at the Eldoret Sports Club, the two time Boston marathon champion was remorseful to postpone the race that was et for June 25th to October 1st.
“I want to apologize to everyone; the athletes, sponsors, and I want to assure them that Eldoret City Marathon is a young marathon which is still growing that needs support,” added the former World Athletics Championships 10,000m champion.
Apart from running, the organizers are involved in tree planting with the theme of Action plan on climate change.
“We shall continue planting trees and we will continue doing it because our forests are deforestation. We want to have clean air for our athletes to compete in,” added Tanui.
