Olympic marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge today made history, becoming the first man to run in sub 2 hours at the INEOS 1:59 Challenge at Prater Park in Vienna, Austria.
The reigning world marathon record holder won the challenge 1:59.40 where 41 pacemakers were used to enter Guinness Book of World Records.
After failing to make the cut in 2017 at Breaking 2 in Monza, Italy where he 2:00:25, shed off about a minute to enter into the books.
