Leaders KCB and second placed Kabras Sugar will headline the penultimate round of the 2026 National Sevens Circuit set for this weekend in Embu in the battle for valuable points as the race for the overall title goes down to the wire.
The Embu Sevens, scheduled for September 5 – 6 at Embu Stadium is crucial for both top two teams with Embu Sevens Tournament Director Wilkister Miranga saying that the preparations for the tournament were on track.
With four legs completed, KCB Rugby lead the Division One standings on 76 points, just three points ahead of Kabras Sugar on 73.
Menengai Oilers sit third on 58 points, followed by Daystar Falcons and Kenya Harlequin, who are tied on 52 points. Mwamba are sixth on 45 points, while Nondescripts and Strathmore Leos are tied on 41 points.
The Division Two standings are led by Stallions Rugby on 69 points, followed by Kabarak University and Zetech Oaks on 44 points each, while Northern Suburbs sit fourth on 42 points.
With only Embu Sevens and the season-ending Christie Sevens remaining, every point will be crucial as teams look to secure their final positions in the overall standings.
