Multiple national boys hockey champions St Anthony’s Boys’ Kitale defeated St Patrick’s Iten to retain the Rift Valley Secondary Schools Sports Association (RVSSSA) that concluded today at the Kapsabet High school grounds.
The Trans Nzoia based school earned the single slot for the national ticket that will be staged in eastern region, Machakos County next month.
A brace from Kevin Onyango earned the school 2-0 during the final.
However, it was bad news when defending champions St Joseph Girls’ was beaten by St Mary’s Tachasis from Nandi by a solitary goal by Getrude Wabwile.
Head coach John Lusaka said his team is ready to represent Rift Valley in the national championships with an aim of carrying the national trophy.
