Reigning Discovery cross country champion Brilliant Jepkorir and Josphat Bett were crowned the champions of the 2019 First Lady Margaret Kenyatta Beyond Zero half marathon held today in Nairobi.
Jepkorir, the former world junior runner won the woemn’s race in 67:02 followed byBeatrice Chirchir (67:03) and Bornes Kitur (67:23).
After winning National Police cross country championships, Bett won the title timing Josphat Bett-60:47 followed by two time Toronto marathon champion Philemon Rono in 60:48 as Simon Kirui completed the podium in 60:53.
