Jesse Were back in Stars Squad

Zesco United striker Jesse Were is back into the Harambee Stars team ahead of a friendly match against Uganda next month at Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani.

Newly appointed Stars coach Francis Kimanzi named a provisional list of 27 players to set into the camp as Were returns after he was omitted from the team for the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.

Kimanzi and Were have previously worked together, at Tusker FC in 2015, when the striker bagged the Kenyan Premier League Golden Boot with 22 goals.

Other new entrants include Kariobangi Sharks’ newly signed defender Samuel Olwande, Kakamega Homeboyz’s midfielder Moses Mudavadi and Bandari’s Nicholas Meja.
