Former Nakuru club captain John Kamais recorded his maiden Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) series at the Kiambu Open, at the par 72 Kiambu golf club.
Kamais fired three over par 219 to claim the title as the chase Kenya One and Magical Kenya Open slots in 2027, beating Rwandese player Felix Dusabe with three shots at 222 as vetlab’s Ebill Omollo rounds up the podium with nine over par 225.
In the three day full of action, as players battled for the 54 holes, the champion teed off on Friday with a level par 72 followed by three over par 75 in round two on Saturday before concluding the championships with a level par 72 in the third and final round on Sunday.
