John Lejirma extended his lead at the summit of the Kenya Amateur Golf Championship (KAGC) Series standings after a commanding performance at the Limuru Open held at the Limuru golf club this weekend.
Fresh from winning Goldfield Trophy in Kakamega last weekend, the Royal based golfer fired rounds of 72, 73 and superb final round of 67 to finish four under par (-4) for the tournament title.
The Kenyan captain has maintained his consistency to remain on top, followed by Ndumberi’s Elvis Muigua with three under par 213with 72, 71, 70 as Limuru’s Dennis Maara completing the podium with 71, 70, 77 for a total of two over 218.
He denied defending champion Michael Karanga a hat trick of titles. karanga won the title in 2023 before defending in 2024.
Next on the calendar is the Coast open set for this weekend from July 11th to 13th at the Mombasa golf club.
