Junior player Muigua wins Trans Nzoia Open title in Kitale

Kiambu junior golfer Elvis Muigua was crowned the champion of today’s Trans Nzoia Open, the Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) series at the par 73 Kitale golf club.

At 19, Muigua won the title after firing +7 226 ahead of Ugandan Godfrey Nsubuga after firing one under par 72 for the victory after playing alongside round two leader Ebill Omollo from Vet Lab and round Nsubuga to record his maiden title in the series.

He managed to roll in seven over par 226 in the 54-hole tournament that teed off on Friday with 18 holes, followed by Friday and Sunday’s third and final round.
