Kenya’s Junior Starlets, the national under 17 women team has qualified to compete at the FIFA Under 17 Women World Cup slot after knocking out South Africa.
In today’s return leg match at the Nyayo National stadium in Nairobi, the Mildred Checeh coached side knocked beat South Africa 3-1 in a one sided encounter for a total of 5-1 aggregate.
Starlets came from 1-0 down to beat South Africa 3-1. The visitors went ahead through Katleho Malebana gave Bantwana in the 24th minute into break.
It took 70 minutes when Kenya leveled through Gaudancia Maloba for a 3-1 aggregate then Brenda Awuor converted from the spot for a 2-1 lead to an aggregate of 4-1 as Elizabeth Alizeba completed the trio with an 3-1 and an aggregate of 5-1 to hand the homeside a desicive victory and earn a slot for the FIFA Women Under 17 World Cup slot for the second time.
