Kakamega County Assembly’s goalkeeper David Eshikala was the star, saving to penalties as Kakamega handed Siaya their second loss of the County Assemblies Sports Association (CASA) football title on Saturday 5th at Eldoret National Polytechnic.
Siaya, who lost to penalities 3-2 to Kakamega at the finals, also lost the same title last year against Uasin Gishu at the CASA inaugural championships in Nairobi.
Eshikala saved Erick Omondi and Edwin Otieno penalties to hand the title to Western based assembly.
Following a barren draw in the normal time, Kennedy Okech converted the first penalty, sending Siaya keeper Ezra Okello wrong direction as Eshikala saved Omondi’s opener as Collins Inganga converted the second for Kakamega and captain Charles Onyango converted for Siaya.
