Kakamega Homeboyz has sacked their coach Paul Nkata and his Ugandan counterpart Hamza kalanzi over allegations of match-fixing.
The Kenya premier league (KPL) side has sacked the Ugandan international and replaced by Allan Wanga and goalkeeper trainer David Juma to take up interim coaching role as they head to play against Bandari fc tomorrow.
Club chairman Cleophas Shimanyula said “The two will be assisted by our technical director Eliud Omukuyia as we carry on with the investigations on seven players who have been involved.”
He is claimed to have fixed a match between Sony Sugar and Mathare United played on January 2 and 19 respectively according to Shimanyula where they lost 2-1 and 3-2.
Nkata had coached City Stars, Muhoroni Youth, Tusker and Bandari and Homeboyz have managed two wins, three draws and four losses sitting 13th on the log with nine points from as many games.
