Kamais top Kenyan as Tsegay, Giday and Taye sweep the podium in Budapest

Kenya’s Irene Jepchumba Kamais was the best Kenyan athlete who finished in 4th position in day one of the World Athletics Championships in Budapest Hungary.

Kamais timed 31:32.19 in her season best behind the Ethipians who swept the 10,000m podium with Gudaf Tsegay winning gold in 31:27.18 ahead of compatriots Letesenbet Giday for silver at 31:28.16 and Ejgayehu Taye completing the sweep in 31:28.31.

another Kenyan Agnes Jebet Ngetich was 6th in 31:34.83 with Grace Loibach Nawowuna coming in 9th at 31″38.17.
