Double world cross country champion Geoffrey Kipsang kamworor and the reigning world 3,000m steeplechase World record holder Beatrice Chepkoech were the winners of today’s National Police Cross Country Championships held today at Ngong Racecourse, Nairobi.
After losing last year’s title, Kamworor from…. reclaimed his title after beating the reigning Commonwealth Games 10,000m silver medallist Daniel Simiu Ebenyo in 29:46.9 and 29:46.9 respectively.
Josephat Kiprotich clocked 30:43.9 for third followed by Joseph Kiptum in 30:53.2
Chepkoech from Anti Stock Theft Unit (ASTU) is the new winner of women’s 10km race after clocking 34:35.3 ahead of Gladys Kwamboka from National Police College (NPC) to second place in 34:36.4 and former Commonwealth Games 5,000m champion Mercy Cherono to third in 34:39.2.
