Kandie, Kwemoi, Mateiko and Sawe to face off at Valencia half marathon

Fresh from winning bronze medal in 10,000m at the Commonwealth Games, former world half marathon record holder Kibiwott Kandie, former Commonwealth Games 10,000m bronze medalist and Daniel Mateiko at the Valencia half marathon.

The trio will be leading the Kenyan contingent in the October 23rd race in Valencia Spain.

Kandie will be returning to the course he set the world half marathon record in 57:32 in 2020 but Ugandan Jacob Kiplimo lowered to 57:31.

Other Kenyans include Roma Ostia course record holder Sebastian Sawe, with Mateiko, who was third last year, Kennedy Kimutai.

They will be up against 2019 World Junior cross country champion Milkesa Mengesha and the 2019 World silver medallist in 10,000m Yomif Kejelcha both from Ethiopia will also be on the start line to fight for honors.
