Kariobangi Sharks sink Thika

Thika United woes continued today after losing 3-0 to Kariobangi Sharks in the midweek Kenya Premier League (KPL) match played at Machakos stadium.

Ugandan import George Abege scored first, Duke Abuya and Erick Kapaito sealed the victory for Kariobangi as Thika’s survival in the top flight football league in the country faced another blow, losing two consecutive matches.

Abege netted first in the second minute of the whistle as Abuye netted the second in the 84th minute before Kapaito sealing the victory through a penalty in the 90th minute to aid Sharks move to 7th position in the KPL table.

Thika remained pegged bottom of the pile with a sixth consecutive loss and are 10 points away from safety with six matches remaining before the season ends.

Abege converted Moses Mwangi’s cross from the right to give William Muluya charges the lead to heap Thika’s relegation worries on their faces
