Kariobangi Sharks stun Bandari to book Everton friendly

Harrison Mwandwa scored the lone goal as Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Shield Cup champions Kariobangi Sharks defeated Bandari fc to win the third edition of Sportpesa Super Cup this evening at National Stadium in Dar es Salam, Tanzania.

The final, which was an all Kenyan teams is good for Sharks who will play English Premier League (EPL) side Everton in a friendly match to be played in either Tanzania or Kenya latter in the year.

It was the first time Bandari were playing in the tournament had their player William Wadri as the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

Led by William Muluya, Sharks went ahead to pocket kshs 3million after making their second attempt in the tournament.

In the earlier play-off, Tanzania Simba SC beat their counterparts Mbao FC 5-3 on post-match penalties to finish third.
