World Road Running 5km silver medalist Lilian kasait Rengeruk and Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) half marathoin champion Alex Matata nzioka were the winners of 2025 New Delhi half marathon held on Saturday October 11th in New Delhi, India.
Making her debut in half marathon, Kasait won the title in 67:20 to claim the title ahead in 1:07:28, while defending champion Alemaddis Eyayu faded to seventh in 1:10:51.
Their victory marked the second time in event history that Kenyan athletes triumphed in both the men’s and women’s categories in the same edition since 2006 won by Francis Kibiwott and Lineth Chepkurui.
After finishing second last year behind Uganda’s Joshua Cheptegei, Matata came in style and won in 59:50.
Early this year, Matata had won RAK Half Marathon in 59:20.
