National Olympics Committee of Kenya athletes representative Humphrey Kayange is the latest entry into the Kenya Rugby Union management ahead of elections set for Friday at RFUEA Grounds, Nairobi.
The former Kenya Sevens captain will be chasing a director’s position after enjoying a career with sevens side Shujaa when he led to a maiden World Rugby Sevens Series title in Singapore in 2016.
Kayange has represented the country at the 2016 Rio Olympics and graced many more Sevens series tournaments for over a decade.
He said: “Good governance is something I strongly believe in while getting to work with all stakeholders in the process. This is complemented by my goal to influence progressive change towards our rugby dynamics.”
The tall man will be up against incumbents Oscar Mango, Peris Mukoko, Leslie Mwangale, Moses Mukabane, Ochieng Ahaya, Hariette Okach and Ken Thimba.
