KCB Rugby and Mwamba Women successfully retained their Kabeberi 7s title while NYS Spades recorded their maiden win during the National Rugby 7s circuit finals played at the RFUEA Grounds, Nairobi.
In men, KCB won their 6th title in a crown following their 14-12 win over Strathmore Leos, recording 30 unbeaten matches of the meeting, winning in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, while Strathmore Leos were appearing in their first final of the 2026 National Sevens Circuit.
Brian Wahinya converted George ooro’s try to give the bankers 7-0 lead before KCB doubled the try through Michael Wekesa with Wahinya adding extras to make it 14-0.
But Leos’ Gabriel Ayimba touched down with Arnold Muita missing the conversion for 14-05 then Ayimba made it a double try with Muita shooting between the posts to make it 14-12 for half time which made the final score.
At the same time, Menengai Oilers defeated Kenya Harlequins 20-17 to claimed third place.
In women, Mwamba Ladies maintained their dominance to retain their title with a 12-07 win over Kenya Harlequins Queens.
Faith Livoi converted her try to give Mwamba a 7-0 lead as Sinaida Nyachio dived in touching down for the second unconverted try for 12-0 but Harlequin Queens reduced the score when Marvel Oswago converted her own try for 12-07 lead to the final whistle.
NYS Spades recorded their maiden victory in Divison 2 with a 14-0 win over Stallions Rugby.
Bravin Wekesa converted his try for 7-0 lead at the break before doubling the score with a try and a conversion for 14-0 victory.
