Kenya and Uganda exchanged wins in the ongoing East Africa Local Authority Sports and Cultural Association (EALSCA) at the Eldoret Sports club.
The Kenya basketball team beat Ugandan 43-21 baskets on the first day of championships before Uganda beat Kenya B in football.
In basketball, Uganda cited lack of coordination hence losing the match to their counterparts in the five-day tournament that will come to an end this weekend.
Joseph Mugyenji, the Ugandan captain said that they were defeated due to lack of coordination during the match since it is when they are playing as one time from 2019.
“It is my fifth time to be in this games, we were beaten because we are very few as a team who have come here and also we have not been together for some time, ” Said Mugyenji.
In a volleyball men Kenya A were beaten by Eldowas 3-1 (15-25, 18-25,25-23,15-25) as Kenya A beat Kenya B 3-0 (25-21,25-23,25-18).
In volleyball women category Kenya, A defeated Kenya B 3-0 (25-9,25-8,25-17) while in another match Kenya B defeated Eldowas 3-1 (25-21,25-22,23-25,25-20).
In netball kenya executive team B beat Uganda executive 14 while Kenya CASA team A beat Uganda political 16-14. In other match Uganda executive defeated Uganda political 27-9 in the kpsecond game Kenya executive team B beat Kenya CASA team A 27-16.
In basketball women Kenya ladies 1 defeated kenya ladies 2 with a score of 38-24 ,since Uganda did not have a team Kenya competed against themselves.
In basketball men Kenya continued with their prowess as they defeated Uganda in 39 -27 baskets.
