Kenya women netball team defeated Eswatini in their last pool B matches at the ongoing Africa Cup qualifiers championships in Pretoria, South Africa.
Popularly called the Divas, the Joseph Makau coached side dropped to the classification category at World Cup qualifiers after losing two and winning one match.
Kenya had lost to Malawi in 72-31 and 47-30 to Zambia before beating Eswatini 52-36
South Africa already booked the World Cup slot by virtue of being hosts. If South Africa finish in the top two, the third place team will be invited to compete at 2023. The week long competition that started Sunday will end on Saturday.
The 2023 Netball World Cup will be held from July 28 to August 6 at the International Convention Centre in Cape Town, South Africa-marking the first time the tournament will be held in Africa.
Divas are currently ranked 40th in the world, Uganda sixth, Malawi seventh, Zimbabwe 13th, Zambia 17th, Namibia 23rd and Botswana 28th.
