Kenya Kabaddi register first win Banga-Badhu Cup Tournament

Kenya national Kabaddi team win their first match at the ongoing Banga-Badhu Cup Tournament in Bangladesh.

After losing two of their opening matches, Kenya, in their phenomenal show thrashed Poland 52-19 to set their stakes high in the tournament.

The well-coordinated team started well leading 26-12 at half time where Man of the match James Kamweti was crucial for the team making more points.

Kamweti codinated well at the front with Victor Obiero, Daniel Omondi scoring for Kenya as steadfast defence led by Victor Simiyu and Van Odhiambo remained static as the powerhouse denying Polish chances of scoring.

With Kenya facing Nepal on Wednesday, Captain Odhiambo Zuma is optimistic that they will win the remaining matches since they are well prepared.

“Team Spirit is high following today’s victory and going forward we want to win the remaining matches,” said Zuma.

Kenya started badly losing narrowly Sri Lanka 35-33 on day one before narrowly losing to the hosts Bangladesh 32-29 on Monday.
