Kenya Lionesses, the national rugby 7s women team defeated Argentina to win the first leg of Challenger Series in South Africa this evening.
The unbeaten Kenya beat Argentina 17-12 with Grace Okullo started the journey by converting her try for 7-0 lead before Argentina reducing the gap with unconverted try of 7-5 into break.
After resumption, Judith Okumu added the second unconverted try for 12-05 lead then Okumu was at it again with another unconvetred try for 17-05 lead but managed to convert their second try for a 17-12 final score.
The Lionesses now shift their focus to the second leg of the World Rugby Sevens Challenger Series next weekend at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town.
