Kenya Lionesses beat Madagascar at their backyard

National rugby 15s women aside Kenya Lionesses stormed to victory against hosts Madagascar in today’s Women’s Rugby Africa Cup qualifiers played at Andohatapenaka Stadium in Antananarivo.

Kenya recorded a slim win of 29-20 as they seek to play at the World Cup where the tournament doubles up as 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup Africa qualifier that will be played at the same venue.

Kenya Lionesses will take on South Africa, who thrashed Cameroon 87-0 on Wednesday at the same venue before wrapping up their campaign against Cameroon on May 28 in the round robin contest.

The winner will not only qualify for the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup scheduled for England but also for the 2024 World Rugby Tier One Championships

The second-placed team will qualify for the World Rugby Tier Three Championship.
