Kenya Lionesses, the national women rugby 15s triumphed against their neighbours Uganda in today’s Rugby Africa Women’s Cup at the Stade Makins in Antananarivo, Madagascar.
Kenya won 49-0 in a one sided match as they await the match between champions South Africa to determine the winner of the two week long championahips.
Sinaida Mokaya failed to convert Natasha Emali’s opening try for 5-0 before Sheila Chajira got the second try then Mokaya failing to shoot between the posts to make it 10-0.
Faith Livoi went past the line for the third try as Noleen Khaleyi was at it for the 4th try with Mokaya missing the double conversion for a 20-0 lead into break.
After resumption, Stella Wafula got a brace with Naomi Amuguni and scrum-half Edith Nariaka going over once.
Then Wafula’s final try after she did well to evade two markers before diving over in the corner to give Lionesses their last try of the match
