Capitalising on home ground advantage, Kenya won the inaugural Copa Coca Cola Under 16 Africa Nations football tournament title after defeating Nigeria today
St.Anthony’s Boys Kitale, who are representing Kenya at the tournament, got a chance following their victory at the national Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) held at Hill School, Eldoret in August.
Kenya saw off pre-tournament Nigeria with a 3-2 win on post-match penalties, after a settling for a barren draw in regular time.
Haron Kibiwott, David Leon, Isaiah Abwal, scored for Kenya, while Lucas Maina missed and Rashid Issa missed whereas Kumater Shina and Omodara Olamilekan scored for Nigeria, as Williams Gift, Mohamed Hussaini and Omeke Jerry failed to find the target
