Kenya Premier League: struggling Tusker hosts top form Leopards

Tusker fc will host AFC Leopards today in the Kenya Premier League (KPL) match to be staged at Kericho Green Stadium.

Tusker who have won one match in seven matches played in the KPL, will mount pressure to deliver goals.

The Sam Timbe coached side (Tusker) is in 15th position despite an overhaul of the playing unit in pre-season, where a big number of their experienced players were shown the door.

Tusker will be eying redemption in a must win match against Leopards.

But Dennis Kitambi coached side Ingwe has had a good run after Tanzanian assumed the head coach roles at the Den on interim basis.

The 12-time KPL champions have had a 100 percent win record though Kitambi will be well aware that history massively leans on Tusker’s side. In their last 21 matches, the brewers have won 13, lost three and drawn five and they will be out to extend their dominance over Leopards.

A win for Leopards will move them to joint top with Gor Mahia at 19 points.

At the same venue, Zoo Kericho will entertain new comers Wazito in an early kick off. Zoo have won just once in seven encounters and will be seeking for change of fortunes when they host Wazito, 12th on the log.
