Reigning national volleyball champions Kenya Prisons stormed into the semifinals of the ongoing women’s African Clubs Championship in Kelibia, Tunisia.
As Prisons romped into the semifinals, their counterparts Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) failed to progress following their last group B match.
The five time continental champions, Prisons edged out Ethiopia’s Wolaita Sodo University in straight sets 25-04, 25-23 and 25-11 to finish second in pool A as hosts Sfaxien led the group without losing any match.
Following their progress, they will face former champions Carthage after leading Pool ‘B’ with 14 points while Sfaxien will face Customs of Nigeria.
KPC were crashed out of the title when they finished third in Pool ‘B’ behind Carthage and Nigeria’s Customs Services in a five-setter encounter.
