Kenya Roll Ball Federation (KRBF) has shifted their focus to reclaim women’s title at this year’s World Rollers Cup to be held in New Delhi, India.
Kenya women won gold at the World Cup in 2015 as men won bronze in India before all teams winning bronze at the 2017 edition in Bangladesh.
A team of 12 players for both men and women will be selected to represent the country at the world Cup set for 12th to 18th November this year in New Delhi, India.
According to the federation’s league coordinator Geoffrey Barasa, the end of the league mark’s another long journey to claim the world Cup title.
“We qualified to play at the world Cup and that marked a long journey for the federation and players. As a federation we have the main problem where we lack venues for the sport. Playing venues are not available since Roll Ball is an indoor sport. We are requesting for sponsors to join us develop these facilities and also the government to allow us to access the Kasarani indoor arena to hold our leagues,” said Barasa.
The world cup will be played on 12th to 18th November 2019.
