Kenya defeated Somalia to finish in 9th position at the ongoing African Deaflympics qualifiers today.
It was their maiden win when national deaf football men team registered a 5-2 win at Moi Stadium, Kasarani.
Kenya scored through Philip Kirui who bagged a brace, Bashir Yahye, Muinde Mweu, Gasper Asituha and Kennedy Kiptoo.
In their group encounters, Kenya lost to Senegal and Mali whereas Somaliland was thrashed by Egypt and Gabon.
