For the third time, Kenya will be hosting the Federation of Africa University Sports (FASU) next year.
Kenya, which hosted the championships in 1978 and 2014 will be hosting the postponed university biennial championships next year at the Kenyatta University.
The students will be battling for the titles between June 6th to 10th in the multi-Sports event, which was scheduled for 2020 and postponed due to the COVID-19.
Kenya hosted the 2014 event after Ghana (1974), Kenya (1978) before being halted due to political instability across Africa and resumed in 2004 hosted by Nigeria then South Africa (2006), Uganda (2008), Namibia (2012), Kenya (2014), South Africa (2016), and Ethiopia (2018).
The athletes will be competing in Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Football, Table Tennis, Tennis, Volleyball, Handball, football, rugby, Chess, Swimming, Taekwondo and Karate, Woodball, Roll Ball, Goalball, Sitting Volleyball.
