Kenyan Jackie Janmohammed is the now the Africa Cricket Association (ACA).
The decision came during the 17th Annual General Meeting(AGM) which held at the Southern Sun Garden Court ORT.
In the AGM, the ACA delegates elected Jackie Janmohammed, Chairperson of Cricket Kenya as its Chairperson for the next two years.
Her elevation to the top African seat, the Kenyan citizen replaces Kwesi Sagoe of Nigeria who had held the position for six years.
Ms Janmohammed popularly known as Jackie in the world of cricket thus
becomes not only the first lady to hold the position but also the
first Kenyan.
She will preside over an Executive that is made up of the following:
William Ampofo(Ghana) – Vice-Chairman
Dipankar Sengupta(Mozambique) – Finance Director
Hester Khan(Namibia) – Tournament Director
Girish Ramakrishna (Botswana) – Development Director
Cassim Suleiman(South Africa) – Marketing Executive
The above Directors are joined by three Regional Representatives to
complete the Executive as follows:
Eric Kamara (Uganda) – East Africa Region
Johnny Gomez(Gambia) – North/West Africa Region
Vivek Ganesan(Malawi) – Southern Africa Region
