Kenyan runners rule podium positions at Prague Half marathon

Bernard Kimeli led Kenyan athletes to win all men’s podium positions at the 2019 Prague half marathon race ran today in Czech Republic.

As Kenyan born turned Kazakhstani and Israel Caroline Kipkurui and Lornah Chemtai edged out their former‘country mate’ to win women’s race.

Kimeli won the race in 59:07 leading podium sweep for Kenyan athletes, leading in a 1-2-3-4-5 positions with Ugandan Moses Kibet destroying Kenyan 1-7 as Moses Kimeli in position.

The Nandi based runner led Felix Kibitok (59:08) in second followed by Stephen Kiprop (59:20) completing the podium.

Geoffrey Koech was in 4th place clocking 60:32 followed Henry Rono (60:38) with Kibet timing 60:59 and Moses Kimeli in position stoping the timer in 61:20.

Exported talents were in top gear, winning in women’s race as Kazakhstan Kipkurui won the race timing 65:44 as Chemtau (66:13) of Israel in second before first Kenyan Lydia Njeri completed the podium in 67:52.
