Beatrice Cherono and Mercy jepchichii topped at the Bucharest marathon held on Sunday October 12th in Romania.
Cherono won the women title in 2:44:51 followed by Mercy Jepchichii to second in 2:44:52 as Romanian Andrea Alina Piscu was third at 2:51:29.
In men, Kenyan Dickson Kiprop managed second position at 2:13:16 followed by Daniel Lauren in 2:16:25 after falling behind home based runner Nicolae Alexandru Soare at 2:11:58.
